Great writing masters of the 18the and 19th centuries, such as Charles Snell and George Bickham, wrote with a flexible pen in a style called alternately Copperplate and English Roundhand. This elegant curvaceous script is used extensively for invitations and formal events, as well as artistic and graphic works.

Use of the flexible pointed nib will be taught to write the basic miniscule and majuscule letterforms. An emphasis will be placed on seeing the basic underlying shapes of this formal script. This workshop is geared toward beginners and novices of pointed pen calligraphy.
