Owning It: Type Design and Intellectual Property
with Jeremy Mickel

The selection of a brand typeface has become an integral part of any identity redesign. Many companies are now commissioning custom typefaces in order to ensure that their primary brand fonts are ‘ownable,’ both in sense of being visually distinct as well as proprietary to the company. In this talk at Type@Cooper West, MCKL founder Jeremy Mickel will discuss the current field of custom type design and share recent commissions of his own.
